I am Not Able to Save Web Pages with Microsoft Edge

Hmm..It looks like the save as option not available in Microsoft Edge. Try the below workarounds

Solution 1

  • Right click on the web page, and see if there is an option to save the web page directly (it depends which webpage you’re on and what kind of content- mostly you will not see it čÖé ).

 Solution 2

┬áMany will disagree on this as Edge functionality, still here is the workaround čÖé
┬á– Click on the┬áthree dots on the right top
┬á– Click on┬á┬á“Open with Internet Explorer”
┬á– Save the page as you were doing in IE

I am so infuriated with Microsoft. I have nothing but hatred toward the company. I was a long time Vista user who had to put up with a lot of crashes, freezes, slow software, compromizations, viruses, etc. What I loved with Vista was the system of doing things. I had multiple applications running with ease of Microsoft games to break from the tediousness of work. I went to Windows 10 and it was a nightmare. I found a work around with a Vista shield ontop of Windows 10. I ran my Norton utilities, and it all crashed. Just now, I got my computer fixed, using Windows 10 because I have to and just started using Microsoft Edge and to my horror just found out there is no “Save As”. I am an autodidact who does a lot of research about history, religion and politics and I have over some 5000 files in my Vista Documents. And now the rocket scientists at Microsoft has deleted “Save As” from Edge. I am at my wits end. These people have destroyed my computer experience. I am infuriated beyond measure. I hate apps. I hate how everything is so changed. Your article above is dated 2015. It is now Jan 2018, and still, Microsoft is unresponsive to its customers. Check out this page in Microsoft community at it has 32 pages of people complaining. I have deleted Microsoft Edge from my taskbar and start menu. They have destroyed my life. They have put a ton of hurdles between me and my work as a researcher. They are making everything so damn difficult with too many layers to do what I need to get done. They took away Microsoft games. they took away “Save As”, they put everything in Apps, everything is icons. It’s just too much.

I save a web page from the 3 dots, then I can’t find them anyplace. If it can be saved from Internet Explorer so easily, why don’t we just use Internet Explorer? I have to quit using Edge because of this….just too aggravating.

When is Edge going to get fixed so we can just drag a web page to our Desktop to read it later. If this isn’t fixed soon I am going to go back to Chrome. Actually, I don’t see any reason why I decided to even try Edge. It is such a pain to try and save to Desktop. First you have to click on the Desktop, then make a shortcut, then paste the web page, enter and then rename the shortcut. If this isn’t going back to the Dark Ages of web browsing I don’t know what is. Saving it to Favorites puts it out of site and out of mind.
